Here is some software you might need for older Windows systems.

Firefox Web Browser

FireFox 115.11.0 ESR Full Installer [54M 320-bitEXE] (updated 5/27/2024, runs on 32-bit or 64-bit systems, Windows 8 and 7).

This is the last version of Firefox for these old unsupported platforms.

Internet Web Browser Installer. The full installation requires about 54MB to download. Web browser for Microsoft Windows computers. This is an Extended Service Release (ESR) version so only fixes are included in updates, no new/enhanced features. Thunderbird Email

Thunderbird 60.4.0 [30MB 32-bit EXE] (updated 1/16/2019, runs on 32-bit and 64-bit systems, Windows XP and Vista). This is an old version that should automaticaly update to the latest version. This is a workaround for install problems with older versions of Windows.
Email client software for Microsoft Windows computers. You can visit the official web site for documentation and support at the Thunderbird product page at the Mozilla Foundation. After installing Thunderbird, use the Mozilla Thunderbird Email Setup Instructions to set up email.

Adobe Acrobat (PDF Viewer)

Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 or 10 from Adobe. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is an application for viewing PDF documents.

PuTTy (Terminal Emulator)

Putty 0.81 64bit installer [3.5M 64bit MSI] (updated 5/13/2024).
Putty 0.81 32bit installer [3.3M 32bit MSI] (updated 5/13/24).
An older version is also available Putty 0.79 Installer [3.3M 32bit MSI] (updated 9/7/2023).
Windows implementation of the Secure Shell and other tools. Check puttyssh.org for the latest version and documentation. This program establishes encrypted terminal sessions with remote hosts. It may be used to securely access SVPAL's menu system. You should verify the SSH Fingerprint on your first connection to SVPAL.
